This week’s featured new home has four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and is located in the Laurel Estates subdivision at Silver Lake.

Built by Lakeland Homes, the floor plan stretches over 2,464 square feet and includes a downstairs bedroom, a den or home office and a sprawling bonus room.

Leaded glass inset and vertical windows grace the entry, which is decked with Swedish-finished oak flooring that extends into the hall, kitchen, eating nook and family rooms.

Paned glass French doors open to a room that can be used as a den or office. It has Category V high-tech network cabling positioned to the immediate right.

A center-island design kitchen is highlighted by maple-paneled cabinets and crown molding stained a honey/pecan color. Granite tile covers all horizontal surfaces. Other amenities include a four-burner cooktop, an over-the-range microwave, a two-compartment stainless steel sink and drop-down lighting.

An informal nook eating area is steps away from the kitchen. It includes angled walls with windows and sliding glass doors that open to an oversized, cedar deck and the back yard.

Completing the main level of the home are a family room, a powder room and a guest bedroom, which could also serve as an exercise or hobby room.

The family room’s focal point is a gas fireplace with a granite tile border and a formal wood surround. Other features include a 9-foot ceiling and two vertical windows that flank the fireplace.

The powder room has a ceramic tile floor, a pedestal sink and an oval, beveled vanity mirror.

A switchback staircase has an oversized window brightening the passage. The second level includes a master suite, two additional bedrooms served by a full bath, a laundry room and an oversized bonus room.

French doors open to the master suite that has a soaring vaulted ceiling and a bay window that brightens a reading area. The master bath features a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, complementary tile flooring, a full-length mirror, an oversized soaker tub encased in a tile deck and surround, and a freestanding shower with a clear glass enclosure. A walk-in wardrobe with multi-tiered ventilated wire storage completes the suite.

The final two bedrooms are generously proportioned and have standard closets. Also upstairs is a linen closet and another full bath.

Bathroom features include a single vanity topped with tile, matching vinyl flooring, a six-bulb strip light and a shower/tub combination with a faux white tile fiberglass shell. The utility room has a built-in laundry tub, vinyl flooring, a vertical window and a wire storage shelf.

Completing the home is an extra-large bonus room with windows and a storage closet.
