This week’s featured new home has three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and is located in the Hearthstone Lane subdivision in south Everett.
There is a private play area for children living in Hearthstone and also a greenbelt around parts of the subdivision.
A tandem, two-car finished garage provides additional storage and contains the home’s energy-efficient, radiant heating system that allows each bedroom to be set at a different temperature.
The first level has a laundry room and also a space that can be used as a fourth bedroom, a home office or an exercise room. It faces the partially fenced back yard and has sliding glass doors that open to a small patio.
The home’s formal entry is at the second level. Oak flooring covers the area that also has vertical and transom windows and a drop-down light fixture. Past the entry are a kitchen, a formal dining room, a family room and a powder room.
A bay window highlights the dining room, which receives light from two windows and a pendant light fixture. For informal meals, there’s a breakfast bar that’s illuminated by drop-down lights.
All counter surfaces in the kitchen are covered with slab granite and backsplashes are made of ceramic tile. The kitchen also has paneled oak cabinets with clear glass fronts, a two-compartment sink and a stainless steel appliance package that includes a four-burner gas range and a built-in microwave. Another feature is a walk-in pantry with ventilated wire shelves.
Features in the family room include a raised hearth, a gas fireplace, two decorator art niches and sliding glass doors that open to a cedar deck overlooking the yard. The fireplace has a hemlock mantel and is flanked by square-shaped windows.
Completing the main floor is a powder room with a vanity cabinet, a clear glass sink, hardwood flooring, a framed mirror and an upgraded light fixture.
Wall sconces and two large windows brighten a switchback staircase that ascends to the third level, where a spacious master suite, two additional bedrooms and a second full bath are located.
The master suite has an oversized window that overlooks the back yard and a soaring, vaulted cathedral ceiling that adds volume. Three square-shaped privacy windows add even more light.
Master bathroom amenities include a double vanity topped with ceramic tile and a backsplash, a full-length mirror, complementary vinyl flooring and a shower and tub combination.
One of the two remaining bedrooms has a walk-in wardrobe closet, and both have high-tech Category V wiring and overhead light fixtures. The two rooms are served by a second full bath that has a single vanity and a shower and tub combination. A linen closet is located in the hall.
