A three-bedroom, 2.75-bath daylight-basement rambler on Camano Island is our featured home this week. It was built in 2005 and is on a 9,750 square-feet lot in a community development that includes access to three private beaches.

The house has a panoramic view of Port Susan Bay, the Cascade Mountains and Mount Baker.

The home’s front door opens to a foyer with maple flooring and a high ceiling with crown molding.

Straight ahead is a great-room encompassing a living room or family room, dining area and kitchen.

Features of the living room include pale neutral short-pile carpeting, a propane fireplace with slate tile hearth and surround, coffered ceiling, view windows, and a French door accessing a full-length deck overlooking the view.

The adjacent dining area has maple flooring, recessed lighting, and a picture window facing the view.

Kitchen highlights include maple flooring, custom Cape Cod-style cabinets, granite slab countertops, stainless steel appliances, recessed lighting, a skylight, breakfast bar, and pantry.

A sitting area or informal dining area near the kitchen has maple flooring and a sliding-glass door that opens to a covered area of the view deck.

A short hall off the kitchen accesses a laundry room with faux tile vinyl flooring, built-in utility sink and cabinets, and a small window facing a side yard.

A door at the end of the hall accesses an attached two-car garage.

Another hall to the left of the foyer leads to a den or home office, an owners’ suite, a full bathroom and one bedroom.

Features of the den include paned glass double door entry, the same carpet as the living room, two windows overlooking the street and front yard, and built-in bookshelves.

The suite faces the view and has a large bay window, a glass door accessing the deck, and a bathroom with 12-inch heated tile flooring, walk-in closet with organizer system, elongated double vanity topped with tile, and a walk-in shower with curved block glass wall.

The full bathroom has black and white tile flooring, and a shower-tub combination with tile surround.

The bedroom is at the front of the house and includes two closets with bifold doors.

A staircase in the foyer descends to the finished daylight basement, which includes a rec room, three-quarter bathroom, the third bedroom, and access to a second garage with room for three vehicles.
