Four-bedroom rambler

south of Stanwood

This week’s featured new home is a four-bedroom, two-bath rambler located south of Stanwood on a tranquil half-acre lot with mature cedars, Douglas firs and maples.

The home has a gravity-fed septic system, Warm Beach water, electric heat and a propane fireplace.

The main living portion of the house is comprised of an oversized great-room, island kitchen with informal dining nook, large bonus room, and a utility room that opens to a completely finished two-car garage.

A short hall leads to the bedroom wing, which includes three bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a bedroom suite with five-piece bathroom and walk-in wardrobe closet.

The great-room has a high vaulted ceiling and a corner gas fireplace trimmed with a granite tile border and built-in mantel. The room is brightened by a large window overlooking the private back yard.

Kitchen features include slab granite countertops with slate tile backsplashes, Shaker-style maple-paneled cabinets with crown molding and plant shelves, stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar.

The kitchen’s faux maple laminate flooring extends into the nook, which has a skylight and a sliding glass door.

The bonus room is a few steps from the kitchen and great-room.

Positioned to the immediate right of the home’s main entry, the utility room has overhead maple cabinets, vinyl flooring and a built-in laundry tub with laminate top and tile backsplash.

The bedroom suite’s 12 feet by 15 feet sleeping area has a paddlefan light fixture and an oversized window framing the back yard. The walk-in closet has wood shelving on two walls.

Features of the suite’s bathroom include a raised double vanity with laminate top and tile backsplash, a soaker tub with tile surround, a freestanding walk-in shower with faux white tile fiberglass shell, and vinyl flooring.

Two of the three remaining bedrooms face the front of the home. The third overlooks a side yard. All are average in size and have Alabaster light fixtures, phone/cable jacks, and double bifold doors enclosing standard closets.

The second full bathroom has a single vanity topped with laminate, a tile backsplash, vinyl flooring, full mirror and a shower/tub combination with faux white tile fiberglass surround.
