If you’re looking for a fresh, innovative take on a luxury sports car, look no further than the 2015 Infiniti Q50S 3.7.

In only its second year of existence, the Q50S manages to feel as comfortable as your favorite, well worn pair of jeans.

The Q50S exterior is equal parts athletic and luxurious, with the looks of a supermodel that isn’t trying too hard. Dimensions are generous, but not too big. Craftsmanship is meticulous. Connective technologies are state-of-the-art, maybe moving it forward. Creature comforts are off the charts. And safety /security features

are plentiful.

Q50S makes a strong first impression with a smooth, yet dynamic character line arising from its double arch grille and flowing through its side like a wave, merging with the rear end, creating a highly fluid and intriguing profile. Coupled with the car’s 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum alloy wheels, which were added for this model year, and you’re talking downright photogenic.

But as we know, looks only take you so far in life. It’s what’s inside that truly matters, and the Q50S is no exception. At its heart beats a 3.7-liter DOHC, 24-valve, V6 engine coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters.

The combo generates a satisfying 328 horsepower and produces 29 miles per gallon down the highway, as estimated by the EPA. If you’re looking for more, a hybrid is available. Q50S seats four adults in absolute comfort and comes with a trunk that is functional – not an afterthought.

Performance is further enhanced with rear-wheel drive, sport-tuned suspension, sport brakes, drive mode selector, vehicle speed-sensitive power steering and active trace control.

Luxury appointments include eight-way, power/heated sport-type leather front seats, including extra lumbar and torso support adjustments for the driver. Other goodies include dual-zone climate control, power sliding moonroof, cruise control with wheel-mounted controls, Bose 14-speaker premium audio system, and an Infiniti Touch navigation system with voice recognition, and real-time traffic.

Building on Infiniti’s unique approach to making owners’ lives easier that already includes a personal assistant

program with 24-hour access to a live team of professional assistants, the Infiniti InTouch telematics system brings the future of in-car connectivity to the Q50 interior today.

Unlike conventional interfaces, the Q50 has not one, but two touch capacitive screens to easily connect drivers to their lives outside the car. Apps, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and auxiliary audio and video inputs – Q50 has your back.

If that were not enough, Infiniti In Tuition stores climate, audio and driving preferences for up to three different intelligent keys.

Safety highlights include vehicle dynamic control with traction control, electronic brake distribution, brake assist, anti-lock brakes, security and vehicle immobilizer systems.

My travels took me farther down the road than most weeks, almost 700 miles. And the Q50S made me a bigger believer with each and every mile. It’s worth your time to test this one out for yourself.
