This week’s featured new construction is a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath two-story built by Brooks Homes Inc. in the Willow Crest development near Mill Creek.
The main floor includes a foyer, home office, formal dining room, great-room, kitchen with nook, powder room, bedroom suite, utility room and two-car garage.
Upstairs are three oversized bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Open to the second level, the foyer benefits from two large windows and oak flooring that extends into the nearby powder and dining rooms.
To the left, the home office has a vaulted ceiling, an arched and wood-wrapped window, chair railing, frieze carpeting and radius corners.
The dining room has chair railing and a coffered ceiling with crown molding, and the great-room is finished with a gas fireplace with marble hearth and border, and framed by a formal wood surround and mantel. The room is open to the second level and has upper and lower windows flanking the fireplace.
Kitchen highlights include slab granite countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash that ascends to wood-paneled cabinets with crown molding. Other features are oak flooring, a high ceiling, angled breakfast bar, pantry closet and stainless steel appliances.
The nearby nook has a sliding glass door that opens to an expansive exposed-aggregate patio overlooking a partially fenced back yard.
The bedroom suite’s spacious sleep area is augmented by two closets: one with paneled sliders and multi-tiered wire shelves, the other a walk-in.
Features of the suite’s bathroom include a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, a soaker tub encased in a ceramic tile surround, and a freestanding shower with tile surround.
A staircase with oak railing and wrought iron spindles leads upstairs to a skybridge overlooking the great-room and foyer below. One bedroom is located to the left of the bridge, and two are on the right. All are larger than average in size, and one includes a walk-in wardrobe closet.
The full bathroom on the upper level has a ceramic-topped double vanity and vinyl flooring. Its shower/tub combination has a faux white tile fiberglass shell and a square-shaped privacy window.
