This week’s featured new construction property is a zero lot line, single family attached townhome in the gated Caymus development in Mukilteo. Three five-unit clusters in Phase II provide owners with a communal garden, 24/7 security gate and some peek-a-boo views of the Olympics and Puget Sound.

Sixteen inches of dead space with two-by-six wall construction between units ensures privacy and noise prevention.

Our featured “Cabernet” model is a tri-level with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a three-quarter bathroom and a powder room.

The lower level is comprised of a finished two-car garage and a room that could be utilized as a home office, fourth bedroom or mother-in-law apartment. The room includes two closets, a three-quarter bathroom, and sliders that open to a covered patio. The bathroom has 18-inch ceramic tile flooring with radiant heat, a pedestal sink and a shower with fiberglass surround.

The main living area is on the middle level and includes a kitchen, oversized dining area that can be dressed up or down, an expansive living room and the powder room.

Another staircase ascends to the third floor, which is highlighted by a bedroom suite with a spa-like bathroom. The two additional bedrooms are served by the second full bathroom.

Kitchen features include strand bamboo flooring, Shaker-style cherry veneer cabinets, slab granite countertops, a 6 feet by 8 feet center island with stainless salad bar, glass brick-style backsplash that extends to cabinet level, and stainless steel appliances.

The main floor’s great-room has a gas fireplace flanked by bookcases and accented with slate tile.

The bedroom suite’s sleeping area includes space for a sitting area, and a walk-in closet is completed with multi-tiered storage shelves. A French door opens to a five-piece bathroom that has tile flooring with radiant heat, a double vanity with tile backsplash, and a double shower.

The two bedrooms are average in size and have standard closets with double paneled bifold doors.

Highlights of the second full bathroom include a single vanity with laminate top and slate backsplash, vinyl flooring, and a shower/tub combination with faux white tile fiberglass surround.
