A four-bedroom, 2.5-bath contemporary two-story in Lake Stevens is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 1997 and is on a .28-acre lot with partial views of the lake.
The home’s front door opens to a foyer with oak-tone laminate flooring. A den is to the immediate left, and a formal living room is to the immediate right.
Both rooms have light gray plush carpeting, which is also used in all four bedrooms upstairs. Large windows in the den and living room overlook the front yard.
A formal dining room is visually separated from the living room by two architectural columns, and includes a window overlooking the home’s partly fenced and terraced back yard.
At the back of the house, a kitchen, informal dining area and family room are arranged in an open floor plan.
Highlights of the kitchen include vinyl flooring, oak cabinets, laminate countertops, white appliances, recessed lighting, a pantry, and a greenhouse window above the sink.
The informal dining area is a nook with three windows overlooking the back yard.
A Berber carpet covers the family room floor. Other features of the room include recessed lighting, a picture window facing the back yard, a gas fireplace with tile hearth and surround, and a sliding glass door accessing an aggregate patio.
A short hall between the foyer and kitchen provides access to a half bathroom and a laundry room. The bathroom is finished with oak-tone laminate flooring and a pedestal sink. The laundry room includes built-in cabinets and a door accessing the home’s attached three-car garage.
An enclosed switchback staircase in the foyer leads to the upper level, which includes a bedroom suite, two bedrooms, and a bonus room or fourth bedroom.
The suite has a double-door entry and a picture window facing the back yard. Its five-piece bathroom has an elongated double vanity with a makeup table in the middle, a deep soaker tub encased in white tile beneath a high window, a shower with tile surround, and a separate toilet room.
A walk-in closet completes the bedroom suite.
Two of the remaining bedrooms are at the front of the house, with picture windows providing views of the lake. Both rooms have a double closet with bifold doors.
A full bathroom completes the upper level. It has vinyl flooring, a single vanity topped with laminate, a skylight, and a shower-tub combination with fiberglass shell.
