This week’s featured new home construction is a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath, Craftsman-style two-story in the Kassy’s Crossing development in Edmonds.

Exterior amenities include horizontal lap siding, stained cedar shingle and cultured stone accents, an exposed-aggregate drive, 40-year architectural composition roof and professional landscaping.

The main living floor includes a spacious great-room (combining living room and dining room), a kitchen, powder room and the garage.

The upstairs level is completed with a bonus room, bedroom suite with five-piece bathroom, two additional bedrooms serviced by a full bathroom, and a laundry room.

Entrance to the home is via a leaded-glass front door to the great-room. Red oak flooring covers the entirety of the main floor. Features of the great-room include a gas fireplace trimmed with slate stone and framed by a formal wood surround and mantel. Craftsman-style millwork complements the wood surround windows, including two high, square-shaped privacy windows that flank the fireplace.

Approaching the kitchen, where the space could be utilized for dining, sliding-glass doors open to an exposed-aggregate patio and a side yard.

Kitchen attributes include slab granite countertops and maple paneled cabinets with crown molding. Other features include a breakfast bar, pantry closet, undermount stainless steel sink and a stainless/black appliance package.

Adjacent to the kitchen, a large storage closet has been created from the stairwell space.

Completing the main floor is a powder room with slab granite single vanity, vertical mirror, amber-hue Alabaster light fixture and a privacy-glass window. Across the hall is an access door to the garage, which is deep enough to provide additional storage space.

The top of the stair landing spills out into the bonus room. This area would make a perfect space for high-definition television viewing or for use as a home office.

The generous bedroom suite sleeping area faces the front of the home and is completed with three windows. Bathroom highlights include a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, complementary tile flooring, a shower/tub combination with faux white tile fiberglass surround, and a walk-in wardrobe closet with ventilated wire storage shelves on three walls.

Two additional bedrooms, both average in size, include paneled bifold doors enclosing standard-sized closets. The full bathroom is finished with a single vanity with laminate top, matching vinyl flooring and a fiberglass-lined shower/tub combination.
