A four-bedroom, 2.5-bath country-style two-story on Camano Island is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 1991, completely remodeled one year ago, and is on a private five-acre lot that includes a 2,640 square-feet shop with 220 wiring, and an insulated detached three-car garage.

The detached garage is in addition to the home’s attached three-car garage.

A foyer inside the home’s front entry has oak flooring, wainscoting and shadowboxing. To the immediate left is a combination living room and formal dining area. Both areas have cut pile carpeting.

Highlights of the living room include crown molding, wainscoting, shadowboxing, a bay window overlooking a grove of mature evergreen trees, and a woodburning stove positioned inside a brick alcove flanked by two tall vertical windows.

The dining area is also finished with crown molding, wainscoting and shadowing, and includes a large picture window overlooking a side yard. A French door opens to a backyard deck with built-in seating.

An island-design kitchen at the back of the house includes an extra-long horizontal window above the sink, providing an expansive territorial view of the home’s rural surroundings. Other features of the kitchen include tile flooring, oak cabinets with black granite tile countertops, recessed lighting, and black appliances.

An informal dining area off the kitchen has a French door accessing the deck and an aggregate patio with fire pit.

A second French door in the dining area accesses a den or home office with view windows.

An oak-floored hall to the right of the entry foyer leads to a half bathroom with pedestal sink, and a laundry room with built-in utility sink and cabinets. Just off the laundry room is a storage room with numerous cabinets.

A curved oak staircase to the right of the entry ascends to the second level, where a bedroom suite, three additional bedrooms, a full bathroom and a bonus room are located.

Suite highlights include a vaulted cathedral ceiling, a French door that opens to a view balcony, two double closets with bifold doors, view windows, and a three-quarter bathroom. The bathroom has tile flooring, an elongated double vanity topped with granite, and a shower with fiberglass shell.

The bonus room has a vaulted cathedral ceiling with skylight, and a separate entry from the rest of the house via a staircase with access between the garage and the home’s front door.
