Whether it’s taking in the spectacular coastline views or scoping out all downtown has to offer, Edmonds is sure to present visitors and residents with engaging entertainment options.
“Edmonds offers the best of both worlds: a family friendly suburban location with the urban amenities of a walkable, historic downtown and compact neighborhood business districts,” said Patrick Doherty, the city’s economic development and community services director.
Known as a vibrant arts community, Edmonds is home to numerous galleries and annual events, such as the Edmonds Arts Festival, Third Thursday Art Walks and free concerts in City Park on Sundays throughout the summer all take advantage of the abundant green spaces and walkability of the town.
“The town hosts numerous lively events throughout the year, including the Waterfront Festival, Jazz Festival, Taste of Edmonds, Bird Fest, Write on the Sound and farmers markets throughout the spring and summer,” Doherty said.
The community retains its historical character as the oldest incorporated town in Snohomish County. Several historic landmarks accent the city, including the historic society and museum housed in the former Carnegie Library.
A 900-foot fishing pier, beachfront parks and a marina support the best of waterfront living. Opportunities abound for homes with views of, and easy access to, the beaches of Puget Sound.
