Herald App Users

We thank you for your continued support of local news.

After Dec. 31, 2017, the free HeraldNet app no longer will be available in the App Store or the Google Play Store, and we will not be updating news there.

If you are a regular app user, you clearly find our work valuable. And you can continue reading it on a limited basis with a mobile web browser at www.heraldnet.com. All readers can access five articles in every 30-day period at no charge.

Want more? We invite you to join thousands of readers in supporting local journalism by purchasing a subscription. Get complete access to all of our award-winning news, sports, features, commentary and visuals with a digital or print subscription to HeraldNet or The Daily Herald.

Why is this change necessary? Our mobile HeraldNet app was launched years ago, before we required a subscription for unlimited website access. It no longer makes sense to offer content to app users for free while requiring our other customers to pay for subscriptions.

We hope you appreciate that news is an investment. The Daily Herald devotes its resources to producing valuable journalism seven days a week. In turn, we appreciate the investment our readers make with their paid subscriptions.

There’s good news for print subscribers: your digital subscription is free if you’ve registered your account.

If you don’t receive the newspaper, we encourage you to sign up for 30 days of digital access for free.

Thanks for reading HeraldNet and caring enough to support quality journalism.
