They’re calling it the monster matzo.
Kosher products maker Manischewitz rolled it out Tuesday to celebrate the opening of its new corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Newark.
The enormous piece of unleavened bread measured 25 feet 1 inch long and 41½ inches wide and weig
hed about 25 pounds. That’s the equivalent of more than 330 regular matzos.
A chief rabbi from Israel offered a blessing before the matzo was divvied up and distributed to guests at the event.
The Manischewitz Co. is the world leader in matzo production. It also was celebrating the opening of a 200,000 square-foot warehouse in Mount Olive.
