Airbus and China’s CDB Leasing Co. have signed a tentative agreement for aircraft financing and leasing.
Under the agreement, CDB Leasing Co. will provide aircraft delivery financing solutions to airlines around the world that want to purchase Airbus aircraft.
The leasing company will provide financing $4 billion over the next five years for all Airbus aircraft types, including aircraft assembled at the Airbus’s final assembly line in China as well as jets built in Europe.
CDB Leasing also is considering buying an undisclosed number of Airbus aircraft to lease out, according to the Airbus press statement.
“We are proud to provide financing solutions for customers worldwide to support the development of the aviation industry, especially the aviation industry of China,” said Wang Chong, president of CDB Leasing.
