Airbus is lagging behind the Boeing Co. in commercial aircraft orders this year.
Today, the European jet maker said it won a request for seven A320 jets in April — its only customer order for the month. Through the end of April, Airbus reports that it has 67 net orders, compared to Boeing’s 96 net orders through April 27th.
Airbus also reported today that it has delivered a total of 159 aircraft this year. Boeing has not updated its orders and deliveries Web site yet but had handed over 108 airplanes through the end of March.
