On Tuesday, Airbus announced an order for 100 aircraft from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise at an international air show.
The European jet maker surged ahead of the Boeing Co. in orders collected during the Farnborough Air Show, winning the order worth $13 billion at list prices. Airbus announced several new orders on Tuesday.
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise ordered 30 Airbus A350-900 jets and 70 single-aisle A320 aircraft. Last year, DAE placed major orders with both Boeing and Airbus. The order announced Tuesday firmed up DAE’s previous commitment with Airbus.
Airbus secured an order for 23 A320 jets from Aviation Capital Group, a U.S.-based leasing company.
Russian carrier Aeroflot ordered five A320s while North African airline Tunisair ordered three A350s, three A330s and 10 A320s.
Qatar Airways signed a tentative agreement with Airbus for four A320 jets.
