KAHULUI, Hawaii — Alaska Airlines will be offering new seasonal service between Bellingham and the Hawaiian island of Maui.
The airline announced Wednesday that the four weekly flights will begin Nov. 8 and end April 14.
Hawaii Tourism Authority President and CEO Mike McCartney says the new route provides visitors from the Northwest with increased access to Hawaii while boosting Maui’s economy. He estimates the flights will generate $16 million in visitor spending and $1.7 million in tax revenue annually for tourism-dependent Hawaii.
The airline is offering introductory one-way fares from $179. Tickets must be purchased by July 3 for travel Nov. 8 to Dec. 24.
