SMOKEY POINT — Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce executive director Michael Prihoda has resigned his position effective July 29.
“I will be moving on to new adventures,” he wrote to chamber members in an email distributed one day earlier. “I want to say thank you to all the members who have supported the chamber through the years.”
The chamber’s board of directors is searching for a new executive director and a job description is posted on the chamber website at members.arlington-smokeypointchamber.com/Jobs/Info/accounting-executive-director.
During the search for Prihoda’s replacement, Carin Weier has been hired on a temporary basis to handle the day-to-day business of the chamber. Her hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
“It was a pleasure to serve you over the last two years and I truly enjoyed meeting so many great people and building friendships,” Prihoda wrote.
Additionally, the chamber and visitor information center office has moved to a 4126 172nd St. NE behind the Stillaguamish Dental Clinic and next to Walmart on 172nd Street NE.
