Linda Beecher has been hired as the conference center sales manager for Comcast Arena in Everett. Beecher, of Marysville, comes from the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, where she was group sales and media relations manager.

ormation officer for the Snohomish County Public Utility District. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Portland State University and comes from PacifiCorp in Portland.

Patrick Byrne, president and chief executive of Everett-based Intermec, will present the company to investors March 8 at an institutional investment conference in Orlando, Fla.

Marcus Smith, senior vice president and chief financial officer for Bothell’s SonoSite Inc., will speak at the Biotechnology and Biomedical Association Life Science Innovation Northwest Conference later this week in Seattle. SonoSite is an innovator in portable ultrasound equipment.

Here’s a look at the Port of Everett’s shipping schedule for the next few weeks: Tuesday, San Amerigo, owner Westwood; March 8, Igarka, Fesco; March 8, Makiri Green, Fesco; March 15, Westwood Cascade, Westwood; March 22, Westwood Rainier, Westwood.

Everett’s Fluke Corp. has published a new catalog that includes not just the test tools it has for sale but expert advice on how commercial and industrial customers can use those tools to lower business costs. The online edition will be available Tuesday at www.fluke.com.

Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. has appointed the Cabinet Savvy Group to represent its cabinetry lines in the Midwest and mid-Atlantic. The company has offices in Ohio, Michigan and Virginia.

Seminars

The Everett office of the state Department of Revenue will host a free workshop for new businesses owners from 1 to 4 p.m. March 10 at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Participants can learn about the state’s tax system and record-keeping requirements and will receive a workbook and reference guide. Honors

Several members of the staff of Rodland Toyota of Everett have won awards through Toyota’s dealership recognition program. They include John Yi, who won a silver level award; Mike Hilderbrand and Jason Lyon, who won bronze; and Ning Chen and Danny Howard, who won bronze for sales of used vehicles.

The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance announced five awards at a conference earlier this month in Lynnwood. Winners include Greenpoint Technologies at the aerospace company of the year; Art Sauls, general manager of Composite Solutions, as aerospace executive of the year; Laura Hopkins of the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee, Bill King of the state Department of Commerce, and John Graham of Fulcrum Associates as winners of the chairman awards.

CDi Engineers in Lynnwood has received a BetterBricks award in the design engineering category from the Snohomish County PUD for a range of work involving energy efficiency projects around the area.

Scott Anderson, vice president of global channels for Everett’s Intermec, has been named a Channel Chief by Everything Channel. The award in significant in the information technology industry.
