Benefit
Haunted Night presents the Haunted Nightmare Haunted House beginning Friday in Bothell; a portion of the proceeds benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County. Black lights and 3-D glasses, which are provided, enhance the haunted-house experience, said co-owner Jody Bossert, who also owns Elle Marie Hair Studio and Glitz Marketing, in a release. The haunted house is off the Bothell-Everett Highway at 22310 20th Ave. SE, Suite 200, Bothell. It opens at 7 p.m. with the “final nightmare” at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 to 23 and 27 to 31. Admission is $10 or guests can skip the line with a $15 R.I.P. Pass. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.hauntednightmare.com.

Award
Edmonds Family Medicine was awarded the William O. Robertson Patient Safety Award for Achievement recently at the annual meeting of the Washington State Medical Association for progress toward making patients’ medication lists as accurate as possible. Edmonds Family Medicine provides each patient with a written list of their medications and asks the patient to confirm that it is complete, a process found to be more accurate than verbal confirmation. Also, patients scheduled for physicals are encouraged to bring in all their pill bottles so staff can review exactly what patients have. The award was received by Dr. Susanne Quistgaard of Edmonds Family Medicine.
