Mark Baker, a sales consultant for Lynnwood Honda in Edmonds, has received gold master status from American Honda Motor Co. Inc. in recognition of his 2009 sales. Baker was one of 435 consultants out of 12,000 to receive the award for 2009. It was his third year to win the award.
The Historic Downtown Snohomish Board of Directors has elected new officers for 2010. Kimberly McIlrath, proprietor of Faded Elegance on First Street, was elected president. Deverie Wood, owner of Light in Glass Publishing, was chosen for a second term as vice president. Andy Papadatos, owner of the Snohomish Bakery, was elected treasurer. Lisa Steffan, owner of Central Banc Mortgage on First Street, was named secretary.

Skagit Powersports in Burlington has captured the highest honor awarded in all of North America by Dealernews magazine. The business was chosen over every other motorcycle dealership in North America to become the 2010 Dealer of the Year. It is the first time any Northwest dealer has ever received this honor.

Cascadia Community College’s Workforce Resource Center is launching a Pathways to Professions program for students who are eligible for support through WorkFirst. Good deeds
Gloria Woodcook of Snohomish presented $2,500 to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity as part of Waddell &Reed Financial Inc.’s year-long Good Fortune campaign, which emphasizes the need for financial planning and for giving to the community. Woodcook has been a Waddell &Reed client for four years.
The Prohibition Grille, 1414 Hewitt Ave. in Everett, plans a Brewer’s Night special event from 6:30-9:30 p.m. March 31 in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County. A four-course dinner featuring gourmet southern cuisine paired with beers from Georgetown Brewing Co. will be offered for $35 a plate.
