Learn about careers: Students can meet leaders in apprenticeship trades and find out about nontraditional job opportunities at the Snohomish County Career Summit, set for 5 to 8 p.m. May 13 at the Medallion Hotel in Smokey Point. It’s free to all middle school and high school students in the county. The Marysville School District is the sponsor.
Small business help: A free workshop for small businesses is planned for 10 a.m. to noon April 20 at the Shoteline Center, 18560 First Ave. NE, Shoreline. It’s sponsored by U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Wash. Staff from Inslee’s office will discuss federal, state and other government programs aimed at helping small businesses.
