Solutions to the economic challenges facing the community of Granite Falls will be the topic of an economic summit from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Granite Falls Library. Property tax revenue for the state increased 4 percent to $9.2 billion in 2011, with some of the increase coming from new construction and some from higher voter-approved levies, the state Department of Revenue reported.
