Global Spectrum, which manages Comcast Arena in Everett, and the Everett Public Facilities District named Rick Comeau the facility’s new assistant general manager and director of operations. Comeau will work closely with the arena’s general manager, Jeff Schumacher, to oversee day-to-day operations, including event conversions, building maintenance and community relations.
Dwayne Lane’s Family of Auto Centers says it will retain current North Cascade Ford manager Ryan Morrison in Sedro-Woolley. The locally owned and operated dealership group that represents Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram trucks in Everett and Chevrolet in Arlington recently acquired North Cascade Ford.
Bob MacIsaac has joined Whidbey Island Bank as vice president and commercial lending officer in Whatcom County. Prior to joining Whidbey Island Bank, MacIsaac was with the Bank of Washington in Lynnwood. He is a board member of the American Red Cross for the Snohomish County Chapter.
Professional Service Industries, an independent engineering and testing firm, has hired Michael Place as a project engineer in the Mountlake Terrace operations office. Place is a geological engineering graduate of the Colorado School of Mines.
The KSER Foundation has announced the election of five directors who will serve three-year terms on the nonprofit’s governing board: Heather Bennett, Ed Gasparini, Brenda Mann Harrison, Kari King and Sandy Thompson. Retiring from the KSER board are John Thielke, the founding president of the KSER Foundation, and Candace McKenna, a previous four-year president.
Dr. Bjong “Wolf” Yeigh is the new chancellor of the University of Washington Bothell campus. He took over on Sept. 2 and succeeds Kenyon Chan, who served as UW Bothell chancellor for six years. Yeigh previously was professor and president of the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome.

Puget Sound Health Alliance recently released the results of its 2011-12 patient experience survey. Western Washington Medical Group’s Lake Serene Clinic received the highest score among the patients’ ratings of providers in metro Puget Sound. The average score for providers was 75.4 percent. Lake Serene Clinic received an 87.2 percent score.
Good deeds
The annual Bill Baker Memorial Steel &Wheel SuperShow has raised more than $10,000 for Guide Dogs of America. More than 60 classic and custom cars and motorcycles were entered in the show Aug. 17 at Machinists Union District Lodge 751’s Everett union hall. Over the past four years, District 751 has raised more than $1 million for the charity.
U.S. Bank provided free backpacks stuffed with school supplies to children living at a Snohomish County Mercy Housing property. U.S. Bank employees visited Lincoln Way Apartments in Lynnwood on Aug. 28 to help students kick off their school year. The U.S. Bank backpack donations are part of Mercy Housing Northwest’s Start &Succeed back-to-school initiative.
