The Bank of Washington recently named John R. Huey III senior vice president and manager of commercial banking. Huey will lead the bank’s team of relationship managers and oversee commercial loan production in Snohomish and King counties. The Bank of Washington is a locally owned, full-service commercial bank headquartered in Lynnwood.

Everett Bone and Joint Ambulatory Surgery Center has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with national standards for health care quality and safety in ambulatory care organizations.

Marysville Big Lots is celebrating the grand opening of the new Marysville store with a donation to Totem Middle School. During the 9 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Big Lots district manager Sheila Marquis will present $1,500 to Totem Middle School. Tarra Patrick will accept the check on behalf of the school.
Health First Chiropractic in Marysville is holding its annual food drive to benefit the Marysville food bank Nov. 18-27. Those who donate two bags of non-perishable groceries during the drive will receive chiropractic services valued at $513. The office is at 1519 9th Street, Suite 101, Marysville. Cabela’s outlets nationwide, including the Tulalip store, will offer employee pricing to all veterans and active-duty military and reserve, law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel on Nov. 11 and 12. The team at James Alan Salon &Spa in Shoreline has raised more than $25,000 to build a cosmetology school in Cambodia through the Justice &Soul Foundation. The mission of the school is to provide training and a sustainable career to survivors of the sex trafficking industry. Salon owner Matthew Fairfax is the co-founder of the charity.

Jacobsen’s Marine, a longtime business in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, is moving to the Port of Edmonds across Admiral Way from the Port administration building. A 30-year lease was signed on Oct. 24. It includes an option to extend it to 50 years.
Foggy Noggin Brewing re-released a seasonal beer, Butch’s Brew, on Saturday. It is a traditional English Brown Ale that has been brewed with locally grown hazelnuts. It will only be available for about six to eight weeks. Pint and Growler sales are available at the brewery tasting room.
This fall, the Snohomish County Public Utility District will share with customers a 2014 wall calendar that has safety information, conservation tips, info about customer service programs and more.
