The Boeing Co. boosted its second quarter aircraft deliveries to 126, up from its 114 jet deliveries for the same period last year.
Boeing has handed over 241 commercial jets during the first six months of 2008, putting the aerospace giant on track to reach its goal of 475 to 480 deliveries this year. The jet maker has won 475 orders through July 1, according to its Web site.
The Chicago-based company ramped up deliveries of its single-aisle 737 in the second quarter, delivering 100 of the Renton-built jets. It also delivered 18 777s, 5 747s and 3 767s.
An order for three new 777s from Air France was noted on Boeing’s orders and deliveries Web site on Thursday. The company also added an order for 13 737s and attributed it to an unidentified customer.
