Low-cost Romanian carrier Blue Air has ordered three Boeing Co. 737s, the jet maker said on Thursday. The order is worth $238 million at list prices.
The Bucharest-based Blue Air already ordered two 737-800 jets earlier this year. The order announced today is for three 737-900ER aircraft.
“We forecast a continued strong growth in the Eastern European market. Over the next 20 years, airlines in this region will require around 450 new airplanes,” said Marlin Dailey, vice president of Sales, Europe, Russia &Central Asia, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, in a press statement.
