The Boeing Co. is scouting locations in Atlanta for a potential research center, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday.
Two people told the paper that representatives of the company and Georgia Tech have had “high-level discussions about a potential research center near campus,” the AJC reports.
The paper did not print the sources’ names.
Two other sources who were not identified by the paper said that the aerospace giant is looking for space in Atlanta.
Boeing issued a statement, saying: “We are pleased with our relationship with Georgia Tech and are continuing to talk with them about ongoing and future research projects, but we do not have anything of substance to announce at this time.”
The university had not responded before the story went up on Tuesday.
