EdCC names new dean of student success
Edmonds Community College has hired Steve Woodard as the new dean for Student Success: Retention and Completion. He previously served as navigator the school’s PACE-IT program. Woodard will now provide leadership and vision for student support services such as the Advising Resource Center, Counseling and Resource Center, Wellness Center, Services for Students with Disabilities, and the Veterans Resource Center.
Arlington Denny’s to show off locally inspired redesign
At 10 a.m. on March 10, the newly renovated Denny’s at 2202 Highway 530 NE in Arlington will officially unveil its all-new, locally inspired design. Former Washington State representative John Koster will be present for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Following the ceremony, students and teachers from Arlington Christian School will enjoy a free kid’s meal courtesy of the newly-renovated Denny’s.
KeyBank offers charge-free ATM access at Walgreens
KeyBank has boosted customer access to surcharge-free ATMs through an agreement with retail ATM owner/operator Cardtronics. As a result of the partnership, KeyBank clients can use ATMs at Walgreens stores in Washington and Oregon without paying a surcharge. Several are located in Snohomish County. KeyBank currently offers clients surcharge-free access at nearly 2,000 ATMs across the country.
EvCC ranks in top 50 for high school students getting college credit
Everett Community College has been identified as one of the top 50 schools where high school students can get college credit. The Top 50 list was compiled by online service College Counselor Services using a point system based on web research, the National Center for Education College Navigator database, and individual school websites.
