Everett Community College medical transcription and editing instructor Elizabeth (Betsy) Stam and student Sarah Olson have received national awards from the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity. Stam, who has taught at EvCC since 2003, received the educator of the year award. Olson received the rising star award as the student winner of this year’s essay contest.
Leadership Snohomish County nominated for ChangeMaker Award
Leadership Snohomish County’s Executive Director Kathy Coffey and board member Robin Fenn were nominated for the 2016 Snohomish County ChangeMaker Award at the Edge of Amazing community health summit. Leadership Snohomish County was also nominated as an organization. Mary Toews, founder of Mari’s Place and a Leadership Snohomish County graduate, was the inaugural 2015 ChangeMaker award recipient.
