Forum on Snohomish County agriculture planned

The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County invites the public to a forum on New Direction in Snohomish County Agriculture at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library. Panelists include Ellen Gray of Washington Sustainable Food &Farming Network, Monte Marti of Snohomish Conservation District and Ann Goos of Washington State University.

Digital forensics seminar planned in Lynnwood

Anyone who had wondered what can be retrieved from a computer after the internet history and cache have been deleted can attend a free digital forensics seminar from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Meadowdale Hall 124, Edmonds Community College, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Union Bank adds Consumer Lending managing director

Union Bank has announced that Jared Goldapper has joined its Consumer Lending team as a managing director and manager for the bank’s Mortgage Direct channel. Goldapper is responsible for the growth and oversight of the channel, which has operation centers in Everett and Tempe, Arizona. Goldapper has 14 years of industry experience.

Grant used to buy new truck for ReNewWorks

ReNewWorks Home and Decor Store, a local consignment store selling gently used upscale items, is the owner of a new box truck, purchased with grant funds received from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound. The truck will be used by ReNewWorks to deliver items purchased from the store to the customer’s home.

Call 811 before you begin digging

Call 811 before doing digging projects Snohomish County Public Utility District reminds its customers to call 811 at least two working days before starting a digging project of more than 12 inches deep, including landscaping, remodeling and fencing. 811 hotline staff will provide the locations of power, gas, water, sewer or telephone utilities that are located along the right of way of a resident’s property.

Saytaxi expands service to King County

Ride-sharing company Saytaxi, a transportation service app currently operating in Everett and Lynnwood, has announced agreement with Green Cab fleet to help spread coverage through King County. The new agreement will benefit the taxi industry who need more riders and trips as well as offer a unified way to accept credit cards from riders quickly and easily.
