Two new faces join Housing Hope’s board

Housing Hope has welcomed two new members to the agency’s board of directors — Jennifer Marvin and Dave Thompson. Marvin leads the business integration and core function for the Everett Site Environment, Health and Safety department at Boeing. Thompson is a licensed Washington state broker at Columbia Retail Group with 22 years of commercial real estate experience.

Port of Everett wins praise for waterfront cleanup

The Port of Everett was recognized by the Washington Public Ports Association with the Environmental Project of the Year Award for its significant Waterfront Place Central cleanup projects. The 65-acre former industrial property is being transformed into a new mixed-use development. Between 2006 and 2015, the Port implemented a fast-paced, innovative cleanup program that will be complete this month.

Bicycle racks installed in Edmonds business district

Thanks to a collaborative effort by downtown businesses, local cyclists and city staff, more than a dozen bike racks now grace Edmonds’ downtown business district. The project was spearheaded by Ed!, the Edmonds Downtown Alliance. The bike racks were manufactured by SportWorks, a Woodinville-based company. Economic Alliance launches new Speaker Series

Economic Alliance Snohomish County is launching a new event series called The Speaker Series. The series includes nine luncheons that will rotate in location. This month’s speaker is Anna Rohrbough of AR Leadership. The event is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at ServPro of Edmonds, 19327 21st Ave. W, Lynnwood. Entrepreneur seminars planned in Mountlake Terrace

Launch Lab is a series of seminars to help prepare entrepreneurs and small business owners in launching new businesses and products. The U.S. Small Business Administration, Girandola, Snohomish County WorkSource, and the City of Mountlake Terrace will host the next Launch Lab: Mountlake Terrace from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
