EvergreenHealth Monroe recently added new advanced multi-use beds in its critical care and medical surgical units for increased safety and convenience. Each bed has features such as controls for mattress height and rotation, cane-like handles, built-in scales that automatically calculate patient weight and height adjustment controls so patients can easily bring themselves to a convenient standing position.
HopeWorks Social Enterprises receives $300,000 loan
After a three-year social investment campaign, HopeWorks Social Enterprises has received a capstone loan of $300,000 via a program related investment from the Community Foundation of Snohomish County. This significant investment allows HopeWorks to meet its $1.8 million campaign goal, and further positions the organization for its upcoming expansion of HopeWorks Station Phase II at 3331 Broadway in Everett.
Mount Vernon chocolatier wins gof for Dark Sea Salt Caramels
Karen Neugebauer, master chocolatier and founder of locally-owned Forte Chocolates, was awarded the prestigious title of World Gold for her Dark Sea Salt Caramels at the International Chocolate Awards. The awards were held Oct. 6 to 11 in London, England. Neugebauer’s retail locations can be found in downtown Mount Vernon and Fairhaven.
