New campus director hired for Columbia College in Everett-Marysville

Columbia College Regional Director MarJean Knokey has announced the hiring of James Marrow as campus director at Columbia College-NS/Everett-Marysville. Marrow is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the campus, including class scheduling and student and faculty recruitment. Marrow joins Columbia College after having served 23 years in the U.S. Navy. He holds degrees in business administration, management, public administration and religious studies.

Schack auction to support the arts

Half Price Books to celebrate Read Across America Day

ATI Physical Therapy completes name change

After a year-long brand transition, all Olympic Physical Therapy locations, including the one in Everett, now display the new ATI Physical Therapy brand. Olympic Physical Therapy was acquired by ATI last year and its official name change marks the second physical therapy organization in the area to join the national ATI Physical Therapy brand family.

Report: 17 percent of Washington tobacco retailers sold illegally to youths

More than 17 percent of Washington’s tobacco retailers illegally sold tobacco to minors in 2015, according to the annual federal report. If the rate exceeds 20 percent, the state could lose some federal funding. State agencies are convening to review retailer compliance issues statewide and to recommend outreach and education activities to address the problem within current budget parameters.

Snohomish County PUD sponsors cybersecurity summit

Snohomish County PUD is one of several sponsors of a cybersecurity summit at the third annual Washington State Cybersecurity Summit at the University of Washington in Seattle on Feb. 29. The event brings together industry leaders and policy-makers to determine what is being done to build a better defense network to combat cyberattacks.
