New director of operations for Frontier
Frontier Communications has announced the promotion of Frank Aff to director of operations for its west region. He will report to Frontier’s west region area president, Melinda White. Aff will oversee the company’s Fiber Service Center, Dispatch Resource Center and Network Operations, and will be a member of the regional senior leadership team.
Brown Bear donates car washes, money for veterans
In addition to providing 2,386 free car washes for veterans and current members of the military on Veteran’s Day, Brown Bear Car Wash also donated $10,630 to Puget Sound Honor Flight. Puget Sound Honor Flight provides free flights for veterans visiting Washington D.C. memorials built in their honor. Priority is given to senior veterans, including World War II survivors, and veterans who may be terminally ill.
Lake Stevens Efficient Organization celebrates anniversary
Professional organizer Monika Kristofferson of the Lake Stevens-based organizing company Efficient Organization recently celebrated eight years of serving residential and business clients in Snohomish County and north King County. Kristofferson, who is a contributor to The Herald Business Journal, offers a variety of services including comprehensive consultations, hands-on organizing, paper and file organization, organizing seminars and business productivity training.
State agency updates storm water permits
The Washington Department of Ecology has updated the storm water permit that protects lakes, rivers and Puget Sound from polluted runoff at industrial and manufacturing sites. The permit covers approximately 1,100 industrial facilities across the state, 70 percent of which are in the Puget Sound region. The updated permit goes into effect on Jan. 2.
