Snohomish pharmacist honored by American College of Apothecaries

Dawn Ipsen, owner of Kusler’s Compounding Pharmacy in Snohomish, has been awarded designation as a Full Fellow of the American College of Apothecaries. She was inducted into ACA last month at the organization’s annual meeting in Coronado, California. The distinction is awarded to pharmacists that meet or exceed the ACA practice ideals on 19 designated standards.

Evergreen Beauty College students win business competition awards

Evergreen Beauty College students took home half of the awards from the 2015 International Business Student of the Year Competition in January. Grace O’Bryne from the Everett campus placed third for the Cosmetology award while Rachelle Finseth from the Renton campus won first place for the same category. Amanda Nickell from the Bellevue campus placed third for the Esthetics award.

The Purple Squirrel: Recruiting Solutions from a Recovering Headhunter is the next event in the Economic Alliance Snohomish County Speaker Series. Cameron Cassidy of Workforce Snohomish will discuss the biggest recruiting mistakes, and the best recruiting techniques. Bothell’s Foggy Noggin celebrates sixth anniversary

Bothell’s Foggy Noggin Brewing will celebrate its sixth anniversary this month with a vertical tasting of its Anniversary Ales produced over the last six years. The event from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday is nearly sold out. At noon on March 26 there is an opportunity to try this year’s Anniversary Ale. Go to www.foggynogginbrewing.com for details.

Northwest Motorsport opens in Lynnwood

On March 12, Northwest Motorsport celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 17510 Highway 99 in Lynnwood. The event was attended by Lynnwood Mayor Nicola Smith and former Seattle Mariner Jay Buhner who shared ribbon cutting duties. Northwest Motorsport owner Don Fleming was also present. The company has four other locations, all in Puyallup. Northwest Motorsport started iin 2004 and has sold thousands of signature, lifted trucks.
