MONROE — Burger chain Carl’s Jr. added a second location in Snohomish County this week in Monroe.
The restaurant opened Monday at 19143 Kelsey St. It is expected to employ 75 people. The restaurant is operated by the San Dimas, California-based franchisee Burger Makers Inc.
“We would like to thank the city of Monroe for their help in making this project come to life,” said Mike Sater, franchisee and majority owner, in a statement. “They were extremely helpful throughout the process. We are looking forward to serving the people of Snohomish County and being a part of the local community.”
Carl’s Jr. offers several lines of burgers including its “Famous Star” with cheese. The restaurant also offers several chicken sandwiches and breakfast options.
The Monroe location will feature digital menu boards, a double drive-thru and partial tableside service. A Marysville restaurant has been open for several years.
Hours for the Monroe site are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 6 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
