Glenn Deutsch, president and CEO of Prime Pacific Bank in Lynnwood, was installed as chairman of the Community Bankers of Washington Board of Directors during the group’s annual meeting Sept. 18 in Spokane. Deutsch has been with Prime Pacific Bank since 1998 and in the banking industry for more than 27 years.
Brian Holtzclaw of the McNaughton Group in Edmonds was honored by the Association of Washington Business at its recent annual meeting for his services to the organization.
EvCC Nippon Business Institute welcomes Hiroko Yamashita as its seventh Japanese Culture and Traditional Arts Internship Program participant. Yamashita, from Karatsu, Saga Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan, is a long-standing member of the Chado Urasenke Tankokai tea school. Members of the Chado Urasenke Tankokai come to Everett Community College to serve as a tea master in residence and share their expertise in traditional Japanese arts with special emphasis on the tea ceremony. During October the NBI will conduct several tea ceremony events featuring Yamashita. They’re slated for 2 p.m. Oct. 14 and 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at the NBI tea room, 905 Wetmore Ave., Everett.
