The 10th anniversary celebration for Naval Station Everett kicks off at 10 a.m. inside the Everett Mall. The community celebration, which includes speeches at 11 a.m. and other events until 4 p.m., will include entertainment, indoor and outdoor displays of Navy gear, an art contest with entries by schoolchildren throughout the county and more. Commemorative coins marking the anniversary will be on sale at the event. From 7 to 9 p.m., an after-hours shopping night and celebration will take place at Costco, 10200 19th Ave. SE in Everett.
