Good deeds
Pacific Ridge Homes of Everett has made a $10,000 donation to the YMCA of Snohomish County. The donation will fully fund before- and after-school day care for one month for 40 children, pay full-year memberships for 20 disadvantaged families, or cover the cost for swim lessons for 160 children.
Whidbey Island Bank and Community Capital Development Partners will establish a $400,000 small business loan fund for Latinos, women and other minorities in northwest Washington to address the economic development needs of the region.
The EverTrust Foundation and the Tulalip Trust have donated a total of $21,000 to the Girl Scouts-Totem Council. The council is at 62 percent of its $7.7 million Happy Campers capital campaign goal. Funds will go toward improvements at existing camp properties, expansion of programs that reach girls in challenging life circumstances, and acquisition of a new camp property in the northern counties for future development.
