John Dickson, chief executive of Frontier Bank, is chairman of the 2007 campaign for United Way of Snohomish County. He will oversee a campaign that typically raises $10 million for charitable organizations. Buzz Rodland, president of Rodland Toyota, is a new member of United Way’s board of directors.
Chuck Schott has rejoined Perteet Engineering of Everett as a senior project manager in the field of civil and transportation projects. Michael Horton is a new senior project manager at the engineering consulting firm. He’ll lead projects for local cities and towns.
Beth Rogers of Snohomish, manager of vegetation programs for Puget Sound Energy, recently accepted an award from the National Arbor Day Foundation for her company’s work to protect and enhance urban forests. The company spends $500,000 a year to plant trees in urban areas.
Theresa Robinson has joined Bank of Everett as vice president and senior commercial relationship officer. She will work with local businesses to help meet their financial objectives.
Chad Oxford of Snohomish County Fire District 1 has graduated from the Washington State Fire Academy. Oxford was hired by Fire District 1 in February. He was one of 33 firefighters from throughout the state, Oregon and Montana who participated in 10 weeks of rigorous classroom, practical and physical training at the state academy in North Bend.
Sarah McKnight of Moss Adams in Everett has passed the exam to become a certified public accountant.
Sharon Davis has been promoted to bank operations manager for Cascade Bank in downtown Everett. Davis began as a teller and worked her way to become a branch manager and senior vice president.
Alan Eaker of Camano Island, co-owner and chief executive of Eaker Epidemiology, will talk about his firm’s technology at The Venture Forum in San Francisco next month. The company received grants from the National Institutes of Health to produce software that helps people communicate effectively with their doctor.
Tom Mino, chief executive and president of Bothell’s Lumera Corp., will talk about nanotechnology at the AeA Micro Cap Financial Conference May 7 in Monterey, Calif.

WSA, formerly the Washington Software Alliance, will hold its investment and technology forum from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle. The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington will offer several continuing education classes for electrical workers in Everett during May and June.
