MILL CREEK — Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. chief executive Bill Weaver is The Herald Business Journal’s executive of the year.
He has spent six years with the Monroe-based cabinet-making company, the past year-and-a-half as its CEO. In that time, annual sales have grown from about $14 million to almost $50 million, and the company’s workforce has jumped from 130 to a peak of 470 people, making it Monroe’s largest corporate employer.
The company also has received several environmental awards, noted Herald publisher emeritus Larry Hanson, who presented the award Wednesday.
Weaver credited the company’s workers for its success and for the award. "What it truly means is not an award for Bill Weaver, but an award for Canyon Creek Cabinet Co."
