Coastal Community Bank hires new VP in Snohomish

Coastal Community Bank announced that Melissa Hemrich has joined the bank as vice president and business development officer for its Snohomish location. Hemrich has more than 15 years of banking experience and has devoted hundreds of hours to community service.

Hemrich worked most recently as the manager and vice president of the banking center at Opus Bank in both the Lake Stevens and Marysville branches. Prior to her time at Opus, she was a branch manager at First Heritage Bank in Marysville. Throughout her career, Hemrich has been active in the local community. Currently, she serves on the board of directors at Sherwood Community Services and the Lake Stevens Lions Club. She is also a volunteer at the Marysville Cooperative Education Program, Everett Youth Hockey and more.

Coastal Community Bank was founded in Everett in 1997 and has 12 offices in Snohomish and Island County.

Engage Everett event planned today

The next Economic Alliance Snohomish County Engage Everett – Community Update and Networking event is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant, 1620 West Marine View Drive, Everett. Local businesses successes, struggles highlighted

The Washington Small Business Development Center in Everett showcased more than 20 Snohomish County business owners and highlight the diverse services available to help small businesses succeed. The event highlighted the kinds of challenges small business owners face and the various strategies they employ to overcome those challenges and succeed, said Jennifer Shelton, the center’s Everett director.

Businesses that were featured at the event include: North Sound Productions, Reliance Label Solutions, Treiva Spa, Lara Grauer Photography, No-Mess Pet Dish and Daedalus Denture Concepts.

The Economic Alliance of Snohomish County is located at 808 134th St. in Everett. The alliance is a sponsor, as are Washington State University, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Edmonds Community College, GroWashington, the cities of Arlington, Edmonds, Everett, Marysville and Lake Stevens and the Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce.
