Coastal Community Bank will open a branch in Monroe Monday, at 19555 U.S. 2 in the Safeway Shopping Center.
It will be the third branch for the Everett-based bank.
The branch will serve a growing area, and will complement Coastal Community’s existing branch in Sultan, said Pamela Hagenston, the bank’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. The Sultan branch opened last year.
Nancy Breuer will manage the new branch. She formerly worked for Washington Mutual in Monroe, as did Sue Selby, assistant manager of the new branch, and teller Stacey Goodwin.
That will be a key to success, according to bank president Lee Pintar. "We know that customers will follow good people when they relocate within the same community," he said in a prepared statement.
The new branch will open for business on Monday. A formal grand opening ceremony is set for 10 a.m. June 18.
Coastal Community bank opened in Everett in 1997.
