Delta Air Lines is spending $1 billion to upgrade its existing aircraft. Besides improving seating and in-flight entertainment, Delta will have fuel-saving winglets installed on 170 Boeing Co. aircraft, the carrier said Monday.
Delta’s investment in its current fleet puts its order for Boeing 787s into question. Delta inherited the order from Northwest when the two merged. The airline is still in talks with Boeing about the 787s, reports the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
