EVERETT — Fluke Corp., an Everett-based electronic test tool developer, has added a solar test and measurement company to its portfolio of businesses.
In September, Fluke acquired Solmetric, a California-based manufacturer of precision solar test and measurement products.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This “marks a significant milestone in our journey,” Fluke President Jason Waxman said in a news release. “Fluke’s acquisition of Solmetric reflects our commitment to delivering the best possible products to technicians in the field,” Waxman said.
“With access to their vast distribution channels, an expanded, global audience will be able to experience the benefits of our products,” said Willard MacDonald, president and CEO of Solmetric. “Fluke is as passionate about delivering the next generation of solutions for solar customers as we are – it’s a great fit.”
All of Solmetric’s employees will be retained under Fluke’s leadership, the company said.
This acquisition extends Fluke’s product line, combining two powerful brands in the solar test and measurement space, the company said.
Fluke is a division of Fortive Corp, a publicly-traded Fortune 500 company. The corporation’s headquarters are located in south Everett near Paine Field.
