The Cincinnati Equirer reports that the first test run went beyond design expectations.
Key Quote: “(A)ccording to a GE-Aviation release, engineers began idle runs on Sunday and then revved the engine up to 80,500 pounds of thrust this morning. … The engine is rated for maximum takeoff thrust of 75,000 pounds.”
