Everett’s largest full-service hotel will carry the Holiday Inn name when it reopens next year.
The hotel’s new owner received approval Friday from InterContinental Hotels, which owns the Holiday Inn brand, said John McCracken, a principal with Seattle-based Chambers Lodging. McCracken’s firm is managing the Everett hotel for Bellevue businessman Tommy Lu, who bought it last month.
This will not be the first hotel to carry the Holiday Inn name in the Everett area. The Quality Inn Hotel and Conference Center at 101 128th St. SE in south Everett formerly was a Holiday Inn. Last year, however, the affiliation ended and a new motel built near the Quality Inn now carries the Holiday Inn Express name.
