PRODUCT: HTC Incredible, an Android smart phone sold at Verizon.
FEATURES: Uses Android 2.1 operating system with HTC Sense. Has a 1GHz processor. Friend stream puts updates for Flickr, Facebook and Twitter in one place. Has seven home screen panels to customize with widgets and icons. Has 8-megapixel camera with flash and autofocus and records video. Uses optical joystick for scrolling and selecting, instead of a trackball.
PRICE: $199.99 after rebate and contract.
UPS: I like how they ditched the trackball and instead went with a sensor. The camera is sharp, and the seven-screen interface is super slick.
DOWNS: When recording audio in a memo or in video, the sound quality is really poor when compared to that of the iPhone.
BOTTOM LINE: The fast processor makes jumping between tasks a breeze. With all the features, I think it’s the best touch-screen smartphone on the market today — if you don’t mind having mediocre audio in your videos.
