Last week, WorkSource announced a series of free workshops for helping people navigate the Boeing Co.’s hiring process.
The response was amazing.
About 770 people have signed up for workshops at the Everett WorkSource alone, said Rick Van Cise, communications manager for WorkSource.
Centers in Mount Vernon, Tacoma and Auburn also are hosting workshops.
At the first event today in Everett, 295 people registered. Some people who showed up were turned away due to lack of space.
WorkSource just added a workshop next Friday, April 22, in Everett. Registering in advance is encouraged.
The April 29th event has filled. Additional workshops are being held through May 21.
However, WorkSource will evaluate whether it needs to schedule more workshops based on demand after May 21, Van Cise said.
